Colors are definitely the most important part of Interior Design. In the modern interiors, the chosen color palette has always been a neutral color scheme as it helps in highlighting other elements of the design like furniture, lighting, fabric and so on. But every now and then,(more often lately), we come across a few interior spaces where the colors themselves play a big part in the design and dictate the aesthetics. Let us take a look at a few examples where the colors of the interiors definitely make us consider the moods they bring in.
Dark Navy Blue
Dark blue has been the current favorite color of many designers and paint companies for some time now. Dark blue jewel tone brings in an interesting background for other brass or gold elements like lightings or wooden furniture.

Deep shades of green are definitely in trend right now. These colors which are rich and have moody hues are being used extensively lately. The shades of green can bring in cozy, moody, sophisticated and rich atmosphere depending on which color it is paired with. Green can be paired with wooden textures drawing inspiration from nature. Or we can create a sophisticated look with use of brass elements.

Earthy brown, coffee or chocolate colored walls create a rustic ambiance with warmth and simplicity. With the use of rich earthy color, you can get away using minimal decor. These are the colors which are deep and calming at the same time.

Bold Red & Terracotta
Red is the vibrant fiery color that instantly adds drama. It makes a space pop up and draw in the attention. It is the color that evokes passion, excitement and sultry look. When done with restraint and with right color pairings, the color scheme can create its own unique ambience.

The soft coral colors have a sooting effect. While providing a playful environment, they have a calming and serene effect bringing in more serenity in the interiors. These colors can be flexible in the way they are paired with other colors. When using darker elements, the muted coral colors provide a soft background. When paired with lighter shades, it imbues an elegant romantic atmosphere.

I, personally, LOVE using colors in the interior walls. While the minimalistic neutral color scheme has its strength in being safe and having an uncluttered look, the use of colors feels playful and adventurous. Colors were mainly reserved for Bohemian or Boho style of design. But in the past few years, people have been favoring rich, deep colors to create mysterious and playful interior spaces.
